St. Thomas police say a mother and son are charged after a dispute over snow shoveling led to a fist fight with a neighbour.
Police say it all started Thursday afternoon, when there was an argument about where snow was being placed as it was shovelled from a driveway at a home on Airey Ave. A 26-year-old man went to his neighbour's property and began video-recording the man as he shovelled. A fist-fight broke out betwen the two men.
The 26-year-old's mother, armed with a baseball bat, then joined the fight.
Police arrived and took the 26-year-old and his 51-year-old mother into custody. She is charged with assault with a weapon, while he is charged with assault.
Both were held in custody overnight with bail hearings scheduled for Friday morning.
