St. Thomas police are down one cruiser after a crash in the downtown Wednesday morning.
An officer was headed south on First Avenue at Talbot Street when his cruiser was hit by another vehicle just after 6 a.m.
According to police, the driver of the other vehicle had been attempting to make a left hand turn onto Talbot Street when she collided with the oncoming cruiser.
No one was hurt, but the cruiser suffered extensive damage.
A 58-year-old St. Thomas woman has been charged with failure to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision during a left turn. If convicted, the woman could be hit with a $110 fine and be issued three demerit points.
