The Children’s Health Foundation will hold its inaugural outdoor movie event, Under The Stars, at the London International Airport.
This year’s event, on September 22, will screen 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' drive-in style, and feature carnival activities for the whole family.
The funds raised will support TVCC (formerly Thames Valley Children’s Centre) in helping children and youth with disabilities have more opportunities to participate.
"This year’s event is raising funds for programs and services at TVCC," said Michelle Paonessa, Children’s Health Foundation's fundraising events officer. "So that includes, for example, the fitness adaptive program at TVCC as well as some of their rehabilitative care services such as splinting and casting"
During the event, three Children’s Hero Ambassadors will share their stories about how TVCC has given them the tools they need to achieve their goals.
Attendees can also expect a variety of foods and activities including a photo booth, colouring station, cotton candy, carnival games, face painting and crafts, science activities, a magic show, a DJ playing music, food trucks, and more.
"We're expecting around a few hundred people to be at the event this year which is exciting for a first-time event," said Paonessa. "If you’re still debating what to do Friday night, buy a ticket to support TVCC, and come out with the entire family"
Tickets are on sale up until Thursday night and will be $60 per vehicle for general admission and $100 per vehicle for VIP. VIP tickets include the best seats and a snack pack.
