Surveillance footage sought in crash that left pedestrian dead

London police are turning to the public for help as the investigation into a collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian in the east-end continues.

Investigators have been probing the incident that happened in the area of Clarke Road and Dundas Street early Tuesday morning. On Thursday, they put out a call for anyone with dash-cam, residential or business surveillance video from the areas of Clarke Road and Oxford Street, Clarke Road and Dundas Street and Dundas and First streets between 5:40 a.m. to 6:10 a.m. the day of the crash to come forward.

The pedestrian, whose name and age have not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the collision occurred.

The vehicle involved remained at the site, police said.
