Two arrested, third sought 11 months after east London shooting

Nearly a year after a shooting in east London sent one person to hospital, three men have been charged.

London police announced the charges in the shooting on Thursday. Investigators with the major crime section had been probing the incident since being called to a home on Langmuir Avenue, east of Highbury Avenue around 12:50 p.m. on February 21, 2023.

One person was found at the home suffering from a gunshot wound. That individual was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Paul Joseph St. Pierre, 45, of Hamilton and Dylan Scremin, 29, and Hayden Denton, 23, both of Brantford have been charged with half a dozen offences including aggravated assault, armed robbery, use of a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, possession of a firearm, and disguise with intent.

An additional charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order was also laid against Scremin.

Both Scremin and St.Pierre were taken into custody on unrelated matters, police said.

Denton has not yet been arrested and police are asking for the public's help in locating him. The 23-year-old is described as White, approximately 6’0”, with dirty blond/brown hair, and brown eyes. Police said they do not have a photo of Denton to release to the public at this time.

Anyone with information about Denton's whereabouts is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
