Hydro work to close stretch of Platt's Lane until March

A section of Platt's Lane will be closed daily until next month to allow for hydro work.

The work is slated to begin on Monday and will see Platt's between CPKC Rail overpass and Cherryhill Place closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. This is to facilitate work by London Hydro, city officials said.

While the work is completed, a detour will be in place to take drivers around the spot using Cherry Hill Place, Cherry Hill Boulevard, Oxford Street West, and Wharncliffe Road North.

Pedestrians will also need to navigate around the closure as sidewalks in the area will be restricted and closed at times. The city suggests utilizing nearby streets instead.

Access to businesses, residences and properties in the area will be maintained throughout this work, according to the city.

The daily closure will be in place until approximately March 1.
