Charge laid in London fire

London police say a woman is charged after a fire in Old East last week.

Around 2 p.m. on Friday, April 26, fire crews were called to the area of Adelaide Street and Queens Avenue. A homeowner reported a fire outside their residence.

Fire crews quickly put the flames out and there were no injuries reported.

"Investigators reviewed video surveillance footage obtained from a neighbouring building," police said in a media release issued Monday. "The video surveillance confirmed the identity of the suspect responsible for setting the fire."

A 28-year-old woman is charged with one count of arson with disregard for human life.
