London homeowner surprised by sleeping intruder

The owner of a house in north London came home to find a woman they did not know sleeping in the basement.

According to London police, the owner returned to their home in the area of Fanshawe Park Road East and Cedarhollow Boulevard around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday to find items had been moved around the residence. A search of the home led the owner to discover an unknown woman asleep in the basement.

The owner called 911 to report the break-in.

Police arrived and arrested the woman, who was still inside the residence.

No injuries were reported.

A 48-year-old London woman is charged with one count of break and enter with intent. She is to appear in court in relation to the charge on June 5.
