Airshow London named #1 in North America for third straight year

For the third year in a row, Airshow London has taken the crown as the best air show in North America.

The honour comes from USA Today's 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The annual awards highlight the best of the best in contests covering a variety of categories such as destinations, food and drink, and hotels. Nominees for the contest are chosen by a panel of industry experts and editors from USA Today and 10Best.com. The public is then invited to vote daily for four weeks with the nominee with the most votes declared the winner.

“We are extremely proud to have been voted as the best air show in North America for three years running. Being the only Canadian show nominated was already an awesome compliment but to win, wow, we are so thankful,” Airshow London Executive Director Holly Doty said in a statement. “Our team of staff and volunteers dedicate so much of their time and energy to put on an incredible event for our guests."

Since pivoting to a drive-in air show format due to the pandemic in 2020, Airshow London has sold out every year with up to 30,000 people taking in the show annually. Last year, more than 6,800 vehicles parked at the London International Airport over the show's three-day run.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the RCAF CF-18 Demonstration Team, USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, the North American P-51 Mustang, the U.S. Golden Knights, and the U.K.’s Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team The Red Arrows are among those booked in to perform at this year's show. The aviation spectacle is taking place at the London International Airport on September 13, 14, and 15. Tickets can be purchased at airshowlondon.com.
