An investigation was launched in Woodstock after someone reported hearing a young child cry for help from a conservation area.
Police said after an extensive search, no one was found to be in need of assistance.
Emergency crews were called to the Pittock Conservation Area for several hours on Sunday after police received the report around 9:50 a.m.
According to police, the caller heard what sounded like calls for help from the wooded area.

Woodstock Fire, Woodstock EMS and OPP were all involved in the search.
