Local Artisan Marketing Drawing A Crowd

The Artisan Market at the Western Fair District is having its busiest November in the last three years.

Officials say a lot of Londoners want to support small businesses this holiday season and are looking for locally made and sourced goods.

"They feel good when they're buying that piece, they're usually talking to the person who created it. I think a personal connection to a piece you're giving to someone makes it that much more special," says Market Manager Michelle Navackas. "I think as people watch their dollars, finding perfect gifts with stories is becoming more important."

The Western Fair Market has 180 vendors and employs 500 people every Saturday .

Navackas says if Londoners support the local businesses then those people also have money to put back into the local economy.
