London To Welcome Sports Superstars

London is welcoming hockey superstars Paul Henderson and Darcy Tucker as organizers gear up for the 59th Annual Sport's Celebrity Dinner.

This year's dinner takes place Monday at the London Convention Centre.

All proceeds from ticket sales go towards supporting the Thames Valley Children's Centre, a rehabilitation centre for kids with physical disabilities.

"It's over $2-million that's gone to the Thames Valley Children's Centre. One of their biggest costs in equipment, there's always new advances being made in technology and they always try to stay right on top of that with the various pieces of equipment that they purchase," says Sports Celebrity Dinner Co-chair Jim Cressmann. "It (TVCC) serves more than 8,000 clients, young children and adults, from across southwestern Ontario."

Other guests at this year's dinner include former Toronto Blue Jay Gregg Zaun, figure skater Kurt Browning and London Lightning Coach Carlos Knox.

Due to Monday's weather, the We're All Stars event due to start at 10 am has been cancelled.
