Busloads Of Groceries Delivered To London Food Bank

Over 15,500 pounds of food is on its way to the London Food Bank.

Londoners donated extra groceries over the weekend at two different Superstore locations to fill two school buses.

"Between 3,500 and 3,600 families come to us for help each month, and we're seeing that trend continue, unfortunately ," says Fresh Food Coordinator at the London Food Bank Josh Chadwick. "The constant need is there, it is real. Any time the community steps up like this, or in any other way, it's fantastic and allows us to do what we do."

Besides drop ins, the London Food Bank supports more than 20 community organizations and helps distribute food to those in need across the city.

Chadwick says events like stuff the bus help stock shelves during a time when people don't often think to donate.
