A woman is fighting for life after a single-vehicle crash southwest of Strathroy.
Emergency crews were called to the collision on Calvert Dr., west of Denning Rd. in Adelaide Metcalfe around 9 a.m. Tuesday. The investigation has so far determined that a vehicle was heading west on Calvert Dr. when it veered off the roadway, hit a metal guard rail and then a tree.
The driver, an adult female, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Middlesex OPP closed Calvert Dr., between Denning Rd. and Springfield Rd. for a few hours for the investigation. The roadway reopened to traffic shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
