Charges laid in bank, Starbucks break-ins

A London man is facing charges following break and enters at a bank and coffee shop in the city.

The London Police Service announced on Friday that 21-year-old Alexandr Kovaliov has been charged with two counts of break and enter and two counts of mischief.

The charges stem from a break and enter at the CIBC located at 97 Fanshawe Park Rd. E. on November 16. Police said an estimated $100,000 in damages was caused to the exterior and interior of the bank during the break-in.

Kovaliov is also charged in connection to a break and enter at a Starbucks at 601 Richmond St. that occurred Thursday night.  He is scheduled to appear in a London court on December 10.
