A teacher is facing charges after an incident at a London elementary school.

Police were called to Ashley Oaks Public School at 121 Ashley Cr. on Wednesday, March 11 after a camera was found concealed in a backpack in a change room.

An investigation was launched by the Internet Child Exploitation Unit and police say evidence was recovered during a search of a London home.

Police say the evidence included images of two adult victims.

Jamie Gardiner, 37, a teacher at Ashley Oaks Public School is charged with two counts of voyeurism.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with any information to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The Thames Valley District School Board sent a letter home to parents of Ashley Oaks Public School students.

It reads:

"Dear Parents and Guardians,

Earlier today, London Police Services notified the Thames Valley District School Board that officers arrested Jamie Gardiner, a teacher at Ashley Oaks Public School. He has been assigned to home duties pending the outcome of the investigation.

You will appreciate that this is an ongoing police matter and limited information has been shared with the public. Although none of our students have been identified in connection with the investigation, this is a difficult time for the school, students, staff and community at large.

We are cooperating fully with London police and our main focus will be on the safety and well-being of students and staff at the school.

If you have any questions please forward them to my office at 519-452-8040. Questions that relate to the police investigation should be directed to London police at 519-661-5410.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter."
