A semi-automatic handgun was among eight guns seized by London police in a bust Wednesday.
Officers with the guns and drugs section raided a home on Wellington Rd. Inside they found a loaded .40 calibre semi-automatic handgun with two magazines, two semi-automatic rifles, two rifles, three bolt action rifles, two overcapacity rifle magazines, 1,000 rounds of ammunition, 264g of marijuana bud, and 8g of psilocybin.
Nearly $2,000 in cash was also seized.
Police say, while the guns were legally registered, many were not stored safely.
A 32-year-old London man is charged with 11 offences including possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, and careless storage of a firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in London court to answer to the charges March 2.
