Another person in Chatham-Kent has died of COVID-19.
CK Public Health reported on Monday afternoon a woman in her 80s passed away on Saturday, October 3 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
"CK Public Health provides our condolences to the individual’s family during this difficult time," said CKPH Community Outreach and Public Relations Officer Stephanie Egelton.
Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby added the deceased female was a resident of Chatham-Kent and she had underlying health problems.
The latest numbers also include two new cases for a total of four active cases. Local health officials said there are currently no outbreaks at schools, workplaces, or institutions. CK Public Health added there has been a total of 371 cases since the pandemic started and 364 people have recovered.
