Merry Market returns, admission free

What has become a London holiday shopping staple for unique gifts and sweet treats is returning to 100 Kellogg Lane for a fourth consecutive year.

The Merry Market will open its three week run starting this week.

The annual event will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday with the lighting of the 35-foot Christmas tree in the old cereal factory's atrium. The official opening will also include a live performance of classic Christmas music from a "special guest", according to Kellogg Lane officials.

The market itself will feature more than 100 unique vendors throughout the three weekends. They will be set up on the ground floor, first floor, inside of the Beer Kitchen, and the outdoor Vendor Village, selling everything from handcrafted goods and delicate ornaments, to knitted scarves and holiday treats.

"Each vendor has been carefully curated to capture the magic of the season, and you’ll find the perfect gifts to wow everyone on your nice list," Kellogg officials said. "The Merry Market is not just a place to shop for gifts; it's a magical experience that brings people together in the spirit of joy and celebration."

The entire market will be decorated in glittering festive decor, including a canopy of lights, and there will be holiday music piped throughout.

This year, admission to the market is free of charge.

The Merry Market will be open November 30 to December 3, December 7 to 10, and December 14 to 17. On Thursdays and Fridays it will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
