Chick-fil-A set to arrive in London this week

London is the next Canadian home for Chick-fil-A.

The company's 13th restaurant north of the U.S. border is set to open on Thursday at 3459 Wonderland Road South.

The fast food giant says the London location will have 130 employees, and will be open from Monday to Saturday.

“Bringing Chick-fil-A to London is such a remarkable opportunity, where my vision is for our restaurant to be the city’s most caring company,” said restaurant owner Josh Huesser in a news release. “As the local Owner-Operator, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for everyone to thrive, from our Team Members to our guests. With so many first-time guests, we look forward to sharing our great-tasting food and signature hospitality that Chick-fil-A is known for.”

The new restaurant will employ approximately 130 full- and part-time Team Members and will be open for dine-in and pick-up from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with drive-thru open until 10 p.m.

According to the restaurant's spokespeople, they plan to have more than 20 locations in Canada by the end of 2025.

Chick-fil-A's opening does come with some controversy.

The restaurant's leadership has been criticized for past donations to anti-LGBTQ+ organizations in the United States.

Spokespeople say those corporate donations stopped in 2020. However, there have been protests at the openings of previous Canadian restaurants.

There are over 3,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
